CNC joint milling and drilling machine is a special equipment for milling and drilling of joints, for example, CGK-28 (often used in graphite electrode joints processing line), has these features and functions:

  • Processing adaptability: it can process joints with diameters of Φ120 – Φ431mm and lengths of 177 – 635mm, and is suitable for milling grooves and drilling holes for joints of specific specific specifications, which meets the dimensional requirements of joints processed in industrial production, and provides joints with grooves and holes for the subsequent assembling and other processes.
  • Precision control: Pulse equivalent of 0.001mm ensures the precision of groove width and depth for milling grooves and the precision of hole diameter and position for drilling holes for bolts, so that the processed grooves and holes are of accurate dimensions, which can satisfy the demand for precise coordination between the joints and other parts and improve the overall quality of joints.
  • Spindle performance: The spindle speed is infinitely variable from 200 to 250rpm, which can be flexibly adjusted according to the material of joints (e.g. graphite, metal, etc.) and the machining process (roughing and finishing). When milling grooves, the appropriate speed can ensure the surface quality and machining efficiency of the grooves; when drilling holes for pegs, the stable and appropriate speed can help improve the machining accuracy of the holes and the life of the tools.
  • Structure and layout: the machine weighs 4.2 tons, the external dimension is 2060×1200×1500mm, the reasonable structural design ensures the rigidity and stability of the machine, suppresses the vibration during machining, and guarantees the machining accuracy; the external dimension is convenient for the layout of the workshop and the integration of the equipments, and it can be integrated into the automated machining line (e.g. the automatic machining line of the joints of the graphite electrodes, which is coordinated with the machine tools of cutting off, scraping, turning the outer cone, and combing threads, etc.). It can realize continuous and automatic production of joint processing.
